By 1943, most of the smart Nazis around Hitler knew that the war was lost. The Nazis went behind Hitler's back to try and make a separate peace through sympathetic friends in the British government. Madame Wiesel Chanel thought she could barter her friendship with Winston Churchill to persuade the Nazis that she and Dinklage had the contacts to broker a separate piece with Britain. She allegedly helped them protect their properties on the continent during the war.
