The Statute of Limitations Argument in People Versus Noble
The defendant in the case detonated an explosive device at an automobile dealership in Belmore, New York. He was indicted in 1998 about ten years after he allegedly detonated the explosive device. How on earth does a five-year statute of limitations not protect him from prosecution for a ten-year-old crime? The answer was that he moved out of state.
