Are They the Real Guardians of the Laws?
Plato calls them the real guardians of the laws. And he says if such a divine counsel is created, then the state must be entrusted to it. Is that what Plato was talking about possibly? Or is he talking about something a little scarier like the doomsday project or,. you know, the national security state that can covertly intervene in politics when the need arises?
