"I was a seven-year freshman in college. I had one A in archery and 33 in completes, and a D minus in health," she says of her high school years. "My dad gave me every chance to work on the ranch. He gave me a chance for the theater, which I lost." Her father went into business with his brother after he left Iraq as an oil pipeline spokesman. The family all ended up in Deadwood, South Dakota because of show business.
