The Climate of Identity

Christian doctrine says everyone is created in the image of God, though admittedly fallen. Do you view the LGBTQ plus community that way? Or have you bought into the identity climate yourself? Love allows us to disagree with ethical beliefs and practices, but love doesn't allow us to disagrees with people's existence. If you view your gay neighbors according to a gay identity, then this will indeed lead to homophobia. But if you view them according to an image of God identity, it will lead to love,. And with the assurance of friendship between fallen image bearers of God, we can calmly and charitably discuss our differences.
