He was a kid during the war. He grew up mostly in Frimley in Surrey, which is for like the non English among us is a particularly dull bit of the home counties. It's fair to say that while he's doing this RAF service in East Anglia, he isn't enjoying it very much. Well, it's funny because he opted in for an extra year.
