The Roots of Halloween
When they lived downtown in the city, our city is a huge trick or treating city. We could not in good conscience close our door and shut out this parade of neighbors on the one day of the year that they were coming to our house. So while we were living in the city,. we operated in a redemption model of Halloween. This would fall under the redemption model. However, when we move to the country...and here we have no trick or treaters whatsoever. And so we don't have, you know, a need to open our door on Halloween. The question then becomes, what do I do about my children who are school aged? How do we navigate this as a Christian
