The Titanic Sinking
The story of Lifeboat 1, which still has just 12 people on board, is controversial. After much discussion and an exchange of money with one of the wealthy passengers, the decision is taken to keep their distance. In total, almost 1,500 people are killed when the Titanic goes down. But even with the ship's limited number of lifeboats, almost 500 more could have been saved.
