Mike Bloomberg was one of the very, very significant people I've ever met that just didn't make decisions based on that criteria of reelection. In fact, if you told him this would be good for the next election, he would get angry at you and he would actually make it less likely. He had a completely different mentality than everyone else. Most people go into politics. This is the best job that ever going to have, right? If you accept that 99% of politicians are desperately self-loathing insecure people,. And any individual policy is not as important as filling that hole.
