The Perception of Your Potential
Human potential is, and by that I mean literally what is possible? We've seen average people in inverted commas do unbelievable things when they had to. There's a thing in exercise science called perceived rate of exertion or perceived exertion rate. And basically it's a scale of how hard you think you're working. So 10 out of 10 is their absolute threshold in terms of their perception. The amount of people who would tell me they were working at nine out of 10 when I knew they wereworking at four or five was more than half.
