The Inversion of the Pyramid, Was That Easy to Trace?

Once you've got this idea of the inversion of the pyramid, was that easy to just? Well, yeah, it's sort of a history sort of, it's pretty easy to trace, up until 1990. And I don't know whether it becomes harder to trace after that, because the football gets more complex,. or because we're still too close to really get the distance to strip away the needless detail. But you see pretty obviously that we go from D3, 5 to WM to 4, 2, 4, 3, 3 to 4, 4, 2 and then catnatch us back to total football. The English way of doing it in the late 70s is pressing
