The Origins of the Child Sacrifice in Jerusalem
Archaeological excavations have found similar sorts of urns with burnt remains and sort of stele erected over them in what is now the modern day Israel. It does suggest that this kind of cremation or ritual burning of what wasn't it wasn't alien to biblical writers if you imagine that they're kind of working in Jerusalem say in the 5th century or whatever. But archaeologically speaking it's really hard because you know we can't go dig up Jerusalem with the molak text.
