The 1970s Global Oil Crisis: Political Will to Accelerate Change
In 2008, there was this spike in prices which was taken to the side that oil scarcity was driving prices. The 1970s energy crisis was a period of political and social anxiety about oil supplies and energy supplies in the United States. It's one thing to want to move to a post-oil future; it's another to have people making political decisions about how to do that.
