Is There a Standard English Accent?
I would say some people spend too much time without looking at really, really small differences that don't really matter. I think once you learn the basic you can just get into it and maybe have that immersion and listening and speakig or speaking. Try to do it in the accent you want to pick up on. And i think people will pick it up naturally overtime. An, it's also interesting, for example, many exams won't give you bad points if you have an accent. You whathaever accent you have, they don't care. They will mark you down for pronunciation mistakesu but not accent,. because there's no standard english accent. There's no correctingean accent.
