New York Times article cites me in it because of a study that I published with the research collective Bellingcat last year where I trawled through hundreds and hundreds of leaf conversations between fascist activists. In that study, I found that 34 of the 75 people I looked at cited YouTube videos as the things that red-pilled them. The New York Times also cited a research report published by a European research firm called Voxpol. They conducted an analysis of 30,000 Twitter accounts affiliated with the far right and they found that those accounts linked to YouTube videos more than they linked to any other thing.
