How I Got Into Machine Learning
In undergrad, I was studying human computer interaction. There was this professor at Carnegie Mellon who was doing some really great work in the world of technology-enabled education. It turns out that she's talking about how they were building what they called a cognitive tutor for kids. And it just meant that a kid can ask a question and the tutor is going to automatically give a response. That blew my mind. My second foray into machine learning was when I was leading product management at Google AI. When we started getting all of these requests from large organizations,.
