The Word Trials in the Book of James
In scripture, we see this word trials used a lot. It's not because two parties are in conflict, but rather something altogether different. When the heat is turned up in your life, it can refine you. Scripture says over and over and over again, that there is a correlation betwe the trials you face and the maturity that you are able to accomplish or receive.
