One theory is that the consumption of meat allowed homo rectus to thrive as a species, because meat has much more calories. This was before cooking and there was no way to get this kind of calories out of food surs like chewing. But then once you go to much higher levels of meat, you then have the excess calories that then you can kind of pour into a larger brain. So what happened over the course of evolution was what eventually became humans. Our brains expanded in size by like 300%. Like we got way bigger brains it takes a lot more calories to have bigger brains, because brains use up so much energy. It's also just a fundamentally weird and flawed premise to say
