The Importance of Mimicry in Flora

There's a pretty good literature on flowers that mimic other flowers. I'm much more interested in the Bayesian side of things where flowers are sort of deceptive. They're pretending to have something that they don't. Steve Johnson's done a lot of work with DICEF orchids, and just beautifully shown,. you know, how different aspects of the phenotype, the color, the shape, the presentation of the flowers perfectly mimic other non-orchids nearby that have nectar.
