The Third Layer of the Human Brain

One corporation is building this new sort of model of you know a cop I guess where you take a human and then you put them in an Ironman suit. There's the struggle between the biological element and the digital sort of overrides that they jammed onto it. The whole question to me is is artificial intelligence something that is going to operate as the third layer of the human brain?
