The Myth of High B12 Levels
Chris Masterjohn: My B12 has been significantly above range both times I tested it a couple years ago and more recently. MTHFR might mean due to MTHFR, that it's not getting used by the cells. The right way to address that would be to measure serum or urine for methylmalonic acid (MMA) That's a functional marker that's very specific to B12. He says most probable reason for B12 being high if you're taking a B12 supplement is because you're taking it often enough to always keep the plasma level high.
