Ludlam's Clancy's Clank
Ludlam is basically writing slightly more more ground in realism James Bond type stuff where it is characters talk a little bit and then we are off to another slam-bang action sequence on the page. The director tapped for it is the director of swingers Doug Lyman who wasn't an action director. Gilroy effectively rewrites it and I guess this is where it all gets murky there's different versions of this because multiple people had different falling fallings out over the course of the series.
