James Cameron's Deep Sea Exploration

James Cameron has been deeper than anyone else on the planet. He also directed Titanic, so that's closer to his oceanography credential. But he is a deep sea explorer in his own right - not as a tourist or an engineer. At 14, at the age of 14, James Cameron asks for a submersible blueprint. A small one puts a mouse in it, and puts it in a lake behind Niagara Falls. And apparently, the mouse makes it, but only after being traumatized by 'plek-PLEK-RAS'
