What's Going on at the End of Genesis 4?
Moses introduces us to a man named Lamech who is sort of seven generations down from Cain. So obviously there's some chronological skewing there that Moses is doing. This is a literary strategy that Moses will use throughout Genesis where he first gives you a shorter rundown of the actions of the non-elect before then narrowing in and giving a longer account for each chosen line.
