The Importance of Sterling Lord

Sterling Lord was the guy who originally represented Jack Kerouac for On the Road. He sold that back in 1954 where the offer was 900 bucks and Sterling got him up to 1000. But he was, for me, he was great because he represented Gates of Fire and he represented beggar Vance as well. That was another, you know, like the various books within government chiefs. Each one is named after a person. And each one was a mentor to me. You know, when I got to work with him, so he was great.
