The Fed's Decision to Pause
The US Treasury is no longer able to fund the operations of the federal government. If they sign a solid debt ceiling deal, lifting the debt ceiling by a load of billions, it means that we will see a lot of issuance of US Treasuries. It means that the market will have to swallow all of these bonds again. That typically makes equity markets suffer.
