How to Avoid Lightning Storms
The second mechanism by which lightning injures people is called a side flash. Side flashes are lightning charges that jump from tall objects such as a tree. The third mechanism is contact and contact occurs when you touch long conductors. One of the best conductors for example is a barbed wire fence.
