The Effect of Chloracetamides on Prostate Cancer Cell Growth
In the study, we wouldn't have picked up that type of growth effect because that's not a cytotoxic effect. But when you selectively deplete no-no via the CRISPR knockout screenYou did, you don't see a similar transcript depleting effect with or without this small molecule. The challenge is you only have about a three or fourfold window before those chloracetamides will start killing or blocking the growth of virtually all cells. And I think that's where one has to recognize these are early stage tools. We're going to have to work on refining the specificity for some type of transcript.
