The History of Portal Guns

In the real universe, the laws of physics don't actually forbid portals as such. Opening a wormhole is something that we think is basically impossible to do - unfortunately. But if one were to exist, it wouldn't violate any law of physics. Wormholes allow you to kind of sidestep the speed of light. And just thinking about it that way raises the question, would wormholes allow time travel? So are we going to get into wormholes a little bit? Are you going to explain the basics at all? Or was that just a kind of quick stop?
