The Origins of Myth
Professor Campbell says the origins of myth are not pseudoscientific or pseudohistorical, they spring from the psyche. For mythic images to function optimally, they must always be up to date with current science. Jung would say that the idea of the transcendent shapes one's life and perhaps even compels deeper self-exploration in the world. We need to be courageous enough to explore our own inner reaches.
