Can you talk a little bit about how those publications developed and what their reception kind of was leading up to this book? Sure. So the pieces that had already appeared were a piece on Monteverdi, which I had presented at the AMS meetings on how Monteverdi construes Orfeo and Eurydice. And so her music is actually much more complicated.
