Fed Chair Jay Powell Says Inflation Is Starting to Ease
Stocks rallied after the speech with some saying Powell was not as hawkish as he could have been. The Fed funds futures market it increases its outlook for the peak funds rate. An argument that had been about three quarters of a percentage point pretty substantial is now just about a third of a percentagepoint and there's got a whole year to work it out.
