The Advantages of Topical Memorization
There are some great benefits of topical memorization, but there are also risks that we should be aware of. The danger of proof texting is taking one verse out of context and missing the real point that God intended. If a person sets out to memorize topically, it's really valuable to kind of let some other people speak into that. And yeah, even as you're ministering to them, whether it's in conversation or in prayer, being able to ask those things of the Lord using His very Word is going to be powerful.
