Renting Out Money Is Not Lending
Under any economy, people who rent out money live on Easy Street. Renting out a means of exchange and getting paid for renting it out is metaphysically wrong. People talk about lending, but it's not lending. You don't return the same money. Thomas tells us that money is like wine. If I loan you the money, lend the money to buy a shovel, you take the money, you spend it, it's depleted, it's gone. And now you have a shovel, but I don't have the money. So now you have to dig holes with your shovel to get more money to return it to me. Everybody's richer.
