What Happened With the Old Testament?

In the old testament, jews are ruled by romans. There's a roman named herod who is functioning as king of the jews and scripture is now written in greek. The rise of the macedonian empire under alexander the great would be the most important thing that takes place during this nearly half millennium. And so i think the gospel writers make a good decision to write all their stories in greek when they want to reach a much larger audience. But there's some chapters on these pages where you'll have to read them with an open mind if you're going to understand what happened.
