Eight nine men on the bridge party are washed overboard, I believe it. Larry Savad escapes by a free ascent with him and another man at one point tried to do the top of my head off the conning tower. And that's what happens to a lot of these guys. They feel like they can swim to land and they get out 20, 30 yards before they realize this ain't happened.
