The Shaman's Authority Comes From a Psychological Experience

The shaman's powers are symbolized in familiars, deities of his own personal experience. His authority comes out of a psychological experience, not a social ordination. And ecstasy was a part of it, very often in the shamanic experience. It is ecstasy. The woman is life and the man is the servant of life. Only in the dance did the two come together.
