Building Magical Momentum
Dr. Skinner says that one must build magical tension before and during an operation but you mentioned that quote the greater the momentum the greater the chance of a successful outcome. What is magical momentum? The bigger the magnet the stronger the attractive pull of the magnet so all of the things you're doing in the preparation all add to strengthening that magnetism which is designed to attract the spirit. You are building up that momentum with everything you do in the preparation to show your commitment to the conjuration and to the engagement with the spirit.
