The Supreme Court ruled against Joe Biden's attempt to provide relief for people with student loan debt. The crux of the decision essentially was that the president did not have the authority to do what he was doing, as we pointed out last week. On Friday, it was announced that the Biden administration would automatically forgive 39 billion in student debt for 804,000 borrowers. According to those plans, after 20 to 25 years of repayment, borrowers will have the rest of the debt canceled by the government.
