What Kind of Emotions Are More Convenient to a Magic Show?
Mentalists use tricks that are often very similar to what real magicians do, but they're using information instead of objects. And nobody knows why that happens, but it's really important how we understand the structure of the mind. I would say that right now we have not, not a complete picture, but we have a pretty good idea of why and how misdirection happens in the charms of how magicians manage attentional allocation. There are other aspects of the experience that go into a magic show where we don't understand it so well. It could be that magic can help crack that wide open.
