I think you're right to say that there is this over emphasis on ideas in our culture, in a conservative cultural analysis. And which is ironic because he has only his most excellent epistemology tells us to focus on concrete matters of real life history. It's interesting that he doesn't do that convincingly in the it's just him, no matter what you do and doing everything we will work with.
