The Legacy of JFK
The legacy of JFK's alliance for progress amounts to not a whole lot. He was much more appreciated in Latin America than other US leaders. Kennedy did recognize that the Cold War itself is based on a number of dangerous kind of myths and that it really limits his ability to do much of anything. Next week we'll turn to Operation Mongoose and the the Cuban operations leading up to the assassination but to wrap up today if you want to just talk a little bit more about what you see as the legacy of JFK’s alliance for progress.
