Tapacyris Magna - A New Theory
The name tapocyris magna strongly suggests a connection with osiris. Throughout her lifetime as pharaoh, cleopatra had gone to great lengths to associate herself with the goddess isis. Could it be that at her death, when her retinue were searching for a suitable place to bury cleopatra, far enough away from alexandria that octavian couldn't stop it and desecrate the burial in any way?
