The Effects of a Mediterranean Diet on Pregnancy Birthweights
The second original research report by doctor francesco coveto and colleagues is entitled, effects of mediterranean diet on prevention of small forgistational age birthweights in newborns born to atris pregnant individuals. This was a parallel group, randomized clinical trial conducted at a university hospital in barcelona, Spain. The primary end point was the percentage of new borns who were small for gesational age at delivery,. defined as a birth weight below the tenth per centile. Among the one thousand 221 randomized individuals, an maternal age was 37 years and 97 % completed the trial.
