The Expansion of the Carcoral State in the Islamic Republic

The total number of prisoners in the islamic republic in 19 80 stood at eight thousand, 557 in a ton of approximately 37 million. By two thousand 16, that number had ballooned to more than 26 times, to 223 thousand. The most sizable population of incarcerated persons were those detained on drug related charges. That expansion has only continued apace.
