Sally Kohn: My parents are very private people and we've discussed quite a lot that they would like to maintain their privacy but I will tell you a couple things about my parents. Both of them didn't grow up with a lot. They took a bath once a week and grew up in a pretty toxic situation with an abusive father and an alcoholic father. She says she learned early on from her parents that if you want something you have to save money for it, "My dad set me down and taught me how to invest" Her origin story of saving her first 100k was 'trying to save 100k at 25'
