The Relationship Between the United States and Cuba
The relationships between the United States and Cuba have been extremely tense for a half a century. The US could conquer any of those three nations pretty easily if it chose to do so, but instead its actions are directly proportional to the moral status of each nation. So with respect to Canada, the US is largely hands off. With respect to Mexico, it's more often interventionist and or putting up barriers. And with respect to Cuba, it's obviously keeping open the option of war if in any respect Cuba becomes a military threat.
