The Air Force Academy - What About David?
David's mother was a Goldwater Republican and worked closely with Phyllis Schlafly. His brother, not his sister, didn't really take, but it very much resonated with David. He left the Air Force Academy after three years to avoid being sent to Vietnam. After two years at the Air Force Base, he came to Berkeley to continue studying math and engineering.
