He is truly a post-truth, post-reality president. He has inculcated into our culture the idea that one can lie and if one does it in a bold-faced matter enough and repeat the lie over and over again. So, yeah, when you do stuff like that, you get into legal trouble. And he doesn't have a defense on the merit. There is no defense on the fact.
