The ability to suffer is more ingrained in their DNA than it is in ours. The biggest worry I have for Ukraine is that Zelensky will continue to press and say, look, I'm just going to capture anything. If he loses too many more men on this, they become vulnerable to a serious Russian counterattack which could come this summer. But that's the existential threat to Zelensky: playing with this risk that he could undermine his chance to defend later. And they may lose even more territory than what they have now.
